Wheelchair Accessible Bus Rental in Dubai and the UAE

Rideway provides chauffeur-driven, wheelchair accessible transport for People of Determination across Dubai and the UAE — built for medical appointments, school and therapy centre transport, airport transfers and family outings where a standard vehicle simply isn’t suitable. Most rental operators in Dubai don’t offer this service at all; the ones that do rarely explain the actual equipment fitted to the vehicle. We list ours in full below.

Every booking includes a professional, RTA-licensed chauffeur trained in wheelchair securement and passenger assistance, fuel, and standard Salik tolls at one transparent rate — starting from AED 400. Toll charges and standard parking are included in every quote, so the price we give you upfront is the price you pay, with VAT and Salik never added as a surprise at the end.

The Honest Answer: What Equipment Does the Vehicle Actually Have?

Most competitor listings for accessible transport in Dubai say “wheelchair accessible” or “ramp fitted” and stop there — no ramp weight rating, no door width, no restraint system detail. We’d rather tell you exactly what’s on the vehicle. Our accessible vehicles are fitted with a manual or powered fold-out ramp rated to 300kg, a low-floor or kneeling entry to reduce boarding incline, and a 4-point wheelchair tie-down and restraint system secured to the vehicle floor — not just a strap looped around the frame. Door width and wheelchair bay dimensions are confirmed for the specific vehicle assigned to your booking, since these vary by model, and we’ll tell you upfront if a particular wheelchair size or power chair needs a different vehicle than the one initially quoted.

How Many Wheelchair Positions and Companion Seats Do You Need?

• Single wheelchair user with family — our standard accessible vehicle secures 1 wheelchair position alongside 4-6 companion seats for family or carers
• Two wheelchair users travelling together — available on select vehicles with dual wheelchair securement; confirm this need when you enquire so we assign the right vehicle
• Group medical or school transport — for multiple wheelchair users on one route, Rideway can arrange more than one accessible vehicle or a higher-capacity option; tell us your group size and we’ll model it

Our Wheelchair Accessible Fleet

Our accessible vehicles are purpose-fitted, not standard vans with a ramp bolted on afterward. Every vehicle is maintained on a strict service and safety-check schedule, with the ramp, restraint system and tie-down points inspected before each trip. Drivers assigned to accessible bookings are trained in ramp operation, wheelchair securement and safe passenger assistance, and are briefed in advance on any specific needs — mobility equipment, oxygen tanks or medical devices travelling with the passenger.
